Tea With Oscar Wilde
You are all cordially invited to the 1890s wittiest chit-chat show set in our candlelit Victorian Watchtower.
Saturday 21st April 2018 (19:00 – 23:30)
Performance is 2 hours with an interval
Following the rousing success of An Audience With Sherlock Holmes, we are bringing a new immersive and interactive show presented by Don’t Go Into The Cellar! Theatre Company, the British Empire’s finest practitioners of theatrical Victoriana!
The evening will be in the style of the popular modern chat show reimagined for the Victorian age, hosted by the acclaimed wit of the era, Oscar Wilde. Following the now-familiar format, possible guests include a selection of some of the celebrities of the day. Packed with gossip, song and humour – and a few surprises – this light-hearted performance invites the audience to experience the 1890s wittiest chit-chat show.
After arrival and gathering in the Victorian Watchtower, teas will be served after which we will be joined by Mr Wilde and guests for some delightful entertainments. Please dress appropriately for such a distinguished guest. After which there will be time at leisure. Bring a bottle of something suitable should you require.
Our next theatrical performance!
