A simply sumptuous experience as a special treat or celebration, every week everything stops for tea as Talliston House & Gardens hosts these private and exclusive vintage tea parties. Our elegant and classic afternoon teas start with an exploration of the house and gardens, as you wander the labyrinth of rooms and gardens, before relaxing in the Victorian watchtower for high tea.
YOUR TEA IS SERVED
Dine from vintage bone china at our chapel refectory table upon a fresh spread of homemade cakes, scones, tasty sandwiches and savoury snacks, plus a choice of refreshing beverages from around the globe. Our delicious menu is crafted to perfection by Meadow Hill Coffee Shop & Deli and delivered fresh for every event.

THE AFTERNOON TEA MENU
The menu comprises an extended afternoon tea menu including a Sweet & Savoury Selection of: Homemade Cake Slices and Fruit Scones served with Raspberry Jam & Cream, a choice of sandwich options, savoury quiches plus a fine Tea & Coffee Selection comprising: Whittards 1886 Blend tea, fresh ground Colombian cafetière, decaffeinated tea or coffee – or maybe Earl Grey or some Fruit & Herbal Infusions such as Lemon & Ginger, Peppermint, Camomile or Red Berries.

We are also happy to accommodate dietary and allergy requirements, plus gluten-free and plant-based alternatives to all menu choices.

AFTERNOON TEA AT TALLISTON
The perfect way to spend a magical afternoon at Talliston House & Gardens
TICKETS & TOUR DATES
Afternoon Teas are private & exclusive events for two to six guests, and run Wednesday to Friday afternoons at 12:00 plus an extended period throughout Christmas. Price is £44.99pp. There is the option of a full tour upgrade for £35.00 per group once you have booked your places.
For the evening equivalent to our afternoon tea experience, book an Enchanted Evening.

Please note that weekend bookings have a minimum of four guests and if you book for less than six people, you may be joined by other guests. If you do wish for a completely private event, please book The Talliston Experience​ instead. You can also gift this experience to friends or family without a specific date; just purchase one of the vouchers from our shop.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
These afternoon tea experiences include three indulgent hours: the first part to explore the house & gardens before gathering for your vintage afternoon tea in the Victorian dining room.
You take high tea consisting of a sweet and savoury selection of sandwiches, quiches, cakes, scones and refreshments of tea, coffee and herbal infusions. The included menu items are subject to change without prior notice.
Please allow three hours for your visit.

Please make sure you list the full name and specific dietary requirements for each guest.
​After confirmation, final information, directions and guest information will be sent at least one week before the event.
GUEST INFORMATION
These visits are open to 11+ only – and anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
Due to the delicate nature of the wooden floors, no high heel or stiletto shoes are to be worn.
No food, drink, or large bags or luggage may be brought into the house for this event.
Unfortunately there is no access for disabled visitors.
