Your Invitation To View

House & Garden Tours

Your guided journey through our thirteen unique and incredible locations.

Historic Houses Invitation to View offers visits to privately owned houses and other places of interest, many of which rarely open to the public. Visitors really do get to see behind closed doors.

Tours run on last Sunday of every month.

• A full guided tour of the house and gardens by a member of the creative team, room by room, mapping out the labyrinth of the property and exploring each of the locations. Followed by refreshments of t
ea, coffee and cake.

• There are also special tours at certain times throughout the year. Candlelit tours in January, February, March and November – and a Christmas candlelit tour including festive food and drink in the middle of December.

Tickets are £18.50 including tea & cake. Tickets must be booked in advance online or by ringing 01946 690823.

Two wonderful ways to make the most of your visit to the house & gardens.

After your tour, book a private and exclusive visit to the nearby home of Talliston’s creator, John Tarrow. Take an indulgent afternoon tea, discover more of how the house and gardens were created – and get to visit Talliston’s Thirteenth Room, The Tipi (seasonal).

Click for information and menu pack.

Add overnight bed & breakfast for two in one of Talliston’s three bedrooms, The Haunted Bedroom (Scottish Edwardian), The Room of Dreams (Moorish Spain) or The Cabin (Canadian lodge).

Prices start from £85 per room.

Upgrades are arranged directly with Talliston separate from your Historic House booking.
