An Unmissable
& Ancient Festival
SATURDAY 4TH
NOVEMBER 2023 @ 18:00
On Saturday 4th November, we’re remembering our ancestors as we are inviting you to honour your lost loved ones at a true celebration of the dead. To the sounds of mariachi bands and under strings of festive bunting, we’ll be serving authentic Mexican street food and building an ofrenda altar centrepiece to allow guests to bring photos and mementoes for lost loved ones.
SOLD OUT!
Skull Art: Professional facepainting for every guest
Included in the price of every ticket is the cost of transforming your face into a work of skull art. We have employed two professional facepainters who are eager to turn you into a gorgeous night creature. Whatever you wear, be it Gothic or Ghetto, you're sure to look the part for this after-dark party.
Cantina Jardína: Mexican food and drink
Our Japanese Room will be converted into a Mexican canteen and bar, where While Every guest will be given a free drink token and get a festival burrito bowl, tacos and side dishes. Wine, spirits and snacks can be purchased separately.
Danse Macabre: Day of the Dead decorations
In addition to the Talliston Night Bar, the rest of the house and gardens will receive a macabre makeover. Hung with papel picada, decorated with sugar skulls and illuminated with lanterns, candles and votives. With a variety of locations to lurk in, it's a wonderful opportunity to see the house and gardens in a totally different light.
About Ques Idea Mexican Kitchen
Ques Idea Mexican Kitchen is based out of Bishops Stortford, created from owner Jo Sale's passion for authentic Mexican food. Jo spent 15 years living in Mexico, where she learned about, cooked and ate a lot of Mexican food.
Ques Idea wanted to bring the true taste of Mexico to the UK and recreate traditional Mexican flavours with fresh ingredients, to bring street food quesadillas, tacos and snacks to our shores.
The food is a modern take on the traditional Mexican eating experience, but always based on authentic recipes. Just as people in Mexico would eat them, on the street, at markets or in their homes.
Each dish is homemade, fresh from scratch, using 100% corn and gluten-free tortillas, as well as our authentic herbs and chillies from a London-based Mexican supplier.
